Learning the choreography without voice
Βeginning: Struggling with gestures. I found the melody in the voice and I'm trying to remember the gestures and make a sequence.
Over the rainbow singing while moving. Playing with the language.
Different tempo in speaking and moving. What I realised was that even then there was a specific harmony between the moves and the talking. There was musicality and rhythm in this contradiction.
I found three different rhythms combined in one choreography
Look at the hands. When the melody is smooth, there is a smooth circular passing from one gesture to the other. When the tempo is faster and the voice is abrupt the same thing is happening to the hands.
One of my latest videos where I felt really comfortable with the moving sequence and thus, permitted myself to improvise both vocally and bodily.
